Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam directs all its employees to get meter shifted outside their premises by April 30

Chandigarh, April 11, 2017: Taking a unique initiative, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has directed all its employees to get the meter shifted outside their premises by April 30, 2017.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Nigam said that this decision has been taken keeping in view the resistance of some consumers for shifting of meter outside their premises and advancing the argument that let the Nigam shift meters outside the premises of its own employees first, after that, the Nigam can shift their meter also. Now, the Nigam has decided that all the employees would get their meter shifted outside the premises at their own initiative for the connection in their name or family members or connection from which the electricity supply is being availed. He said that in case the meter of any employee is found not shifted outside premises, disciplinary action could be taken against such employee. He said that all Chief Engineers (OP), Executive Engineers (OP), Sub Divisional Engineers (OP), Junior Engineers-1 and Incharge Sub-office in the Nigam have been directed for strict compliance of the instructions.
