United India Insurance Co Ltd Divisional Office Moga conducted Insurance Awareness Programme in Govt Primary School No. 1, Baghapurana on February 8, under Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme.

Shri Angrup Sonam, Chief Regional Manager, informed that under the CSR Scheme needy schools are selected for implementation of this programme and a sum of Rs.One Lakh is allocated for basic requirements in the school. The company has installed fibre roof sheets in the assembly area, walls have been painted, Steel containers provided for storing mid day meal ration, trolley for ferrying utensils and one water cooler has been provided to the school. Prior to this, classes were conducted by Ms.Shaveta Goyal, Deputy Manager for making the students aware about Insurance. A Quiz competition was conducted on Insurance awareness during function and prizes were also awarded.

On this occasion, Sh Ram Chand, BDPO Baghapurana and Sh. Harpal Singh, BPEO Baghapurana were guest of honour. Both these dignitaries appreciated the move of the United India Insurance for social cause and the great help to the needy schools.

Sh. Gurdass Singh Centre Head Teacher of the school expressed gratitude for having selected their school for implementation of the Insurance Awareness Programme. Sh. Jagroop Singh Brar, Principal, GMSS School which is also located in the same compound, presented vote of thanks.

On this Occasion, Sh R P Sharma, Manager, Sh. Baldev Singh, DM, Sh R N Bansal, BM as well as other office incharges under Moga division were also present. School children presented very interesting cultural programmes which were highly appreciated by the participants.
