UBS Ludhiana organises Faculty Development Programme

Ludhiana, December 23, 2018: University Business School, Panjab University Regional Centre organised Faculty Development Program - One Day Workshop on Capacity Building for Faculty Members/Researchers. During the inaugural session Mr. Shashi Kapoor, faculty member, UBSL introduced the participant with the purpose of the workshop. Welcome address was extended by Prof. Ravi Inder Singh, Director (PURC). Dr. Mahesh Joshi, Senior Lecturer from RMIT University, Australia was the resource person. His passion for curriculum innovations for teaching and research is aimed at delivering industry relevant learning experiences to students. Recently, he has introduced teaching of Integrated Reporting, Blockchain Accounting and the impact of blockchain technology innovation on accounting practice in his course in the MPA program at RMIT University.
Dr.Joshi emphasized that the teachers nowadays have to incorporate the latest in their teaching pedagogy with the changing dynamics of the business environment. Moreover, the aim is not only to enhance students’ learning experience but to also make the students’ assessment more relevant that is in-line with the industries requirement. A total of forty faculty members and researchers from various colleges and universities of the region participated in the workshop.
