Two injured in shootout outside District Courts complex at Ferozepur

Ferozepur, September 3, 2014: A shoot out took place at Ferozepur on Tuesday evening in which one person was severely injured while other received minor injuries.
The shootout took place outside district court complex in the evening, just few meters away from SSP Headquarter and District Administrative complex.
As per the information available, Gurlal Singh, a resident of Village Fattu Wala, had come to the court on the hearing his case. He was accompanied by Rajinder Singh, Gurkirat Singh and Sukhdev Singh. Suddenly Gurlal Singh was attacked allegedly by one person, accompanied by 15-20 armed people. Without giving any caution, they attacked allegedly at Gurlal Singh and others with a rifle in which Gurlal Singh was severely injured. He received two shots, one at shoulder and one at abdomen while one of his companions Gurkirat Singh received minor injuries.
Sukhwant Singh, SSP, Ferozepur and Vibhor Sharma, DSP, Ferozepur City reached the spot immediately and took stock of the situation. The SSP assured that the miscreants behind this act will not be spared.
Meanwhile the injured Gurlal Singh was admitted to Civil Hospital Ferozepur. Later he was referred to Amritsar for further medical attention.
