A sapling being planted under Tree Plantation Drive in Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, July 25, 2015: Students today at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar planted trees on the occasion of tree plantation day. The event aimed at spreading awareness regarding clean and clear environment. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal Dr GS Samra said that increasing environmental pollution was a threat to the existence of life on the earth, and this problem could be dealt effectively only by planting more and more trees. He also said that there was an urgent need of spreading awareness among masses for this and education institutions could play a key role in this regard. The occasion was witnessed by the senior teachers of the college.
