Training on Gluten Free Maize based Food Products organized by ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana
Ludhiana, April 30, 2019: Gluten-free food is everywhere these days since now a day’s patients suffering from celiac disease is increasing, the treatment for which is mainly a lifelong gluten-free diet. It is a challenge to provide celiac disease patients with a variety of nutritious and healthy products. ICAR-CIPHET is committed and working consistently to meet the food needs of the nation by developing and promoting health food products. ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana conducted one day training program on gluten free maize based food products under ABI project on 30 April 2019 and 15 budding women entrepreneurs attended the same. Dr. Manju Bala, Pr. Scientist, FG&OP Division imparted hands on training to the women entrepreneurs. Dr. Ranjeet Singh, PI ABI & I/C ITMU coordinated this activity. Dr. R.K. Singh, Director CIPHET, Ludhiana congratulated the participants on successful completion of the training and assured them that all possible help will be extended for establishment of agro food processing unit.
