Trader robbed in broad daylight at Ferozepur

Ferozepur, April 15, 2015: A trader was robbed in broad daylight at Ferozepur city today. As per the information available, Chiman Lal, commission agent and a resident of Mamdot, near Ferozepur had come to Bank of India, Ferozepur City Branch today afternoon along with his companion Ramparkash, also a resident of Mamdot. Chiman Lal had withdrawn Rs.5 lakh from the bank and after that he went to local Sikri Bazaar to meet one of his relatives.

As soon as he reached Sikri Bazaar and stopped his bike there few unidentified miscreant bike riders, snatched the bag containing the cash, from him and ran away in a blink of an eye. He shouted but in vain. It is also pertinent to mention here that Sikri Bazaar is generally a crowded area and is situated just a distance away from the Ferozepur City Police Station.

Later a complaint was lodged by him at Ferozepur City Police Station. Gurdip Singh, SHO, Ferozepur City, Police Station said that the police had laid nakas at various places and soon the robbers shall be nabbed.

Last month, few unidentified bike riders had robbed lakhs of rupees from a petrol pump situation at outskirts of the city.
