Shimla, April 11, 2017: With a view to facilitate the people under the ambit of Dharamshala Municipal Corporation, the state Government has given the powers of Director, Town and Country Planning to the Town and Country Planner, Divisional Town Planning office, Dharamshala in District Kangra.
Urban Development and Town and Country Planning Minister Shri Sudhir Sharma today said that these powers were earlier conferred on the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Dharamshala. He said the Town and Country Planner will function under the overall control of Additional Chief Secretary (TCP) and the planning permission fee collected under the provisions of HP Town & Country Planning Rules, 2014 would be deposited in the state government treasury.
The Minister said this decision would facilitate people for applying online to the department for various permissions and would also help them in saving their precious time.
