Three-Day Training Programme for Students of AIMTC

Jalandhar, April 4, 2016: The students of Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus attended a three days Training Program on Export Awareness organized by Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) Jalandhar. The students interacted with trade facilitators from various organizations. The students were acquainted with various exports related processes and activities like how to promote exports, help at hand for exporters and various incentives available for MSMEs.

The resource persons for this three-day training programme encouraged the students to delve into their own ventures, and also expressed that the present scenario is conducive for starting new ventures as government is supportive of such initiatives and a good amount of budget has been allocated for new enterprises.

The resource persons for this training programme included eminent personalities like Ms. Kamna Raj Aggarwalla, Regional Chairperson EEPC, Mr. Opinder Singh, Deputy Director, EEPC, Mr. Neeraj Bhalla, General Manager, SIDBI, Mr. Kamal Singh, Director MSME, Ludhiana, Mr. Rahul Kumar, Branch Manager, ECGC Ludhiana and Mr. Gurpal Singh, Deputy Zonal Manager, ECGC.

MS. Kamna Raj Aggarwalla, Regional Chairperson EEPC said that students should not hold themselves back from executing their enterprising ideas for fear or lack of resources as lot of help and support is available for brilliant and deserving ideas, concepts and enterprises. Mr. Opinder Singh acquainted the students on how to plunge into the exports sector and various parameters to be considered before making a start.

Mr. Neeraj Bhalla, GM, SIDBI, elucidated various interesting schemes for budding entrepreneurs desirous of starting their own businesses. Mr. Kamal Singh, Deputy Director, MSME Ludhiana, also briefed the students about various schemes for the Small, Micro and Medium Industries. He also provided details on the facilities available for women entrepreneurs for taking part in international exhibitions and delegations for export promotion.

Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of the institute expressed that such training programmes help students by giving a practical exposure to their theoretical learning.
