There would be no need of CLU in 32 blocks of Haryana

Chandigarh, November 12, 2015: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr.Manohar Lal said that the State Government has identified 32 blocks where  industries would be set up and there would be no need of Change of Land Use (CLU).  The aim of the State Government is to generate local job opportunities for the youth of rural areas through such industries.

        Mr. Manohar Lal was speaking in a function organized by Vishwakarma Sabha Haryana on the occasion of Vishwakarma Diwas at Meham district Rothak today.

        He said that out of the total 2.5 crore population of the state, only 2.5 lakh were serving in government jobs. He said that the State Government had invited applications for 50,000 jobs. He said if estimated, the number of persons serving under the Central Government and the State Government would not be more than two per cent of the population including new recruitment. The Chief Minister said that most of the population of state is not dependent on government jobs and in such case the government wants to provide job opportunities to youth in the rural areas also.

        The Chief Minister said that the youth could avail loan facility without any guarantee to set up their own ventures under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Bank Yojna. All banks have been given targets to provide loans under this scheme.   He said that a draft has been prepared for the people who are without any source of income. The government is exploring all prospects for setting up industries in rural areas, he added.

        Mr Manohar Lal said that the government has introduced its new industrial policy under which 32 blocks have been identified in rural areas of the state. Any person can set up industry in these blocks and for that there would be no need for Change of Land Use (CLU).   He said that the government has decided that land of no farmer would not be acquired without his permission. The person interested to set up industry would have to directly purchase land from farmer. He said that MoUs have been signed with ten such industries. He said that the government would provide special support to industries that would be setup in rural areas under which Rs 36,000 would be given to the industry for giving job to a local person belonging to scheduled castes and Rs 30,000 for giving job to a local person belonging to other categories. The government has a target of providing jobs to four lakh people of the state under the new industrial policy. Also, the government expects an investment of Rs one lakh crore under the new policy, he added.

        Paying obeisance to Lord Vishwakarma, the Chief Minister said that Vishwakarma was the first inventor of the world. He said that Lord Vishwakarma had taught to work with dedication and without any discrimination. Also, our state is full of people engaged in diverse trades, diverse eating habits and living styles, yet they give the message of Unity in Diversity.

He advocated for a clean politics aimed at eradication of corruption, strengthening of educational infrastructure and to serve with honesty. He said that the government has recently increased the minimum wages of unskilled labours to Rs 7,600 and that of skilled labours to Rs 9,699.
