Ludhiana, July 19, 2015: As the name of the organization SAMBHAV states, ‘Everything is possible’, so every man can achieve anything in life. Last year in Ludhiana, Sambhav Foundation (NGO) executed 1 Lakh plantation drive in 1 hour on 20thJuly, 2014. The support and enthusiasm received during the drive, ignited SAMBHAV to take on a bigger challenge this year, therefore, Planting 1 Crore trees in the whole Punjab within 1 hour today. The intention of plantation drive emphasized upon Public & Administration’s partnership and to make people aware about the importance of plantation.
Today the culmination of 1 year efforts by Sambhav Team happened as Mr. Amardeep Singh welcomed Sh. Manpreet Singh Chatwal, Chairman, Punjab Pollution Control Board, who kick-started the plantation drive in Ludhiana at Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana by planting a tree. He also told that Shri S.S. Johal (Padma Bhushan and Chancellor, Central University) is the brand ambassador for this project. He believes that if every Punjabi will contribute to this mission, it will ensure the success of the plantation drive.
Sambhav shared the details of this project and also enthusiasm of all the participants was amazing many schools and colleges of district took part in this project.
The plantation drive was attended by officials of PPCB & Captains of Industries namely S/Sh. Avtar Singh, President CICU, Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary CICU, S.B. Singh, Joga Singh, O.P. Bassi, Harinder Pal Singh Deol, S.P. Garg, SEE, PPCB & R.K. Goel, XEN, PPCB etc.
