Dharamshala, November 2, 2017: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Rehan of Kangra District in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday.
While speaking at the election rally in Fatehpur constituency’s Rehan (100 Kms from here), Modi touched Doklam issue and tried to prove that the Congress was nothing to do with it. Modi directly attacking Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said, “The leader whose father, grand mother and father of the grandmother was PM of India, and who has born and brought up in the ruling family is acting in insulting way.” He said, “Isn’t it insulting when these people held talks with Chinese leaders on Doklam instead of asking the elected government?”
Modi said while launching a veiled attack at Rahul Gandhi for his meeting with Chinese Ambassador, “During Doklam row, people said that Modi ji must not forget 1962.”

He said that he had full faith on the Indian forces, which remained firm for 72 day there to achieve the goal. Attacking Congress in his election rally Modi didn’t spare even the 1st Indian PM. He said that to counter the Congress in India Jan Sangh was created by the efforts of leaders like Shanta Kumar, which later turned to be BJP and said, “Pandit Nehru had also said they’d uproot and throw away the Jan Sangh during its early years.” He added that this is not a Congress of Mahatma Gandhi or of freedom fighters but of corruption, dynasty politics. “Yeh Congress party sadi hui soch ka namoona hai. Hum jab Congress mukt bharat kehte hain, hum iss sadi hui soch ke mukt bharat chahte hai," he added.
Modi said that the idea of the change of governments after every five years in Himachal should be changed now, because the Congress people doest want to change themselves from corruption as they now that after 5 years of BJP rule people will bring them back. He said that public of Himachal must ensure that once Congress is defeated forever to bring up corruption-free state named Himachal.
Modi said, "There are five monsters in Himachal Pradesh which we need to get rid off — mining mafia, forest mafia, drug mafia, tender mafia and transfer mafia.”
Modi also said Congress needs to introspect why the people of country like India who use to forgive leaders for their initial mistakes, are out to punish Congress leaders by turning away from them one by one.
PM said that the CM in Himachal is on bail for a corruption case against him, and is came out with a manifesto saying there will be zero tolerance on corruption.
He added, “I know we will win anyway, because I have worked in Himachal and know the pulse of the people of this hill state. What I want this time a record break polling, so vote at least 5% more this time.”
“You have the opportunity to dismiss those who looted the state by pushing the right button on November 9," he said referring to the incumbent Virbhadra Singh government.
Former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal addresses the gathering. Ex-CM Shanta Kumar and the BJP candidate of the area were also present.
Kangra district has 15 seats of HP assembly, and it is believed that who so ever takes the lead here always form the government in 68 members Himachal Vidhan Sabha. That’s way Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two more election rallies in Kangra district on November 4 at Shahpur and November 5 at Palampur.
