Chandigarh, November 21, 2016: Top ten winners of the India leg will be off to Kuala Lumpur to represent India at the Castrol-Tata Motors Global Skillfest 2016. This announcement was made at the recently concluded award ceremony of the India leg of this competition.

The Castrol-Tata Motors Global Skillfest is a unique competition launched in India in 2014 by Castrol India Limited and Tata Motors Limited for all service advisors of Tata Motors business. As part of the contest, participants are assessed on workshop process, vehicle diagnostics, soft skills and safety awareness. Encouraged by the overwhelming success of the India event, the competition went global in 2015.

The 2016 India leg of the competition saw 1,300 service advisors from all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicle dealerships in India compete in a three-stage competition over three months. Rajesh Das from Jamshedpur won the top honors at the India event and he, along with the nine other winners, will be competing with international finalists from Tata Motors workshops worldwide, to select five global champions.

Speaking at the awards ceremony in Mumbai, Mr. Omer Dormen, Managing Director, Castrol India Limited, said, “Castrol’s partnership with Tata Motors goes beyond just providing pioneering technology products and outstanding service support.
