Jagraon (Ludhiana), April 23, 2015: In a bid to provide citizen centric services under a single roof, the Tehsil Complex at Jagraon town is ready and it would be inaugurated soon by the Punjab government. This two-storey Tehsil Complex has been constructed with a cost of Rs 3.14 crore and it would cater to residents who had to visit different government offices for their work. Now, they would be able to get their works done under a single roof. Jagraon MLA S R Kler took stock of the final touches been given to the Tehsil Complex today.

During the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jagraon Ghanshyam Thori and SDM Rakesh Popli informed the MLA that the Tehsil Complex is ready and only final touches for its beautification are underway. The officers informed that this complex will be two storied and would have offices and courts of SDM, Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar, a big meeting hall, record room, staff room, Patwar Work Station, a spacious Suvidha Kendra, Server Room, toilets and drinking facility on both stories, election office, committee room, kitchen, store, parking and some extra rooms where some other government offices can also be shifted, besides other arrangements.

S R Kler informed that for helping the physically challenged people visiting the Tehsil Complex for work, special ramps have been constructed along with special toilets. He informed that an airy waiting area has also been constructed. For providing proper power supply to the complex, the PSPCL has installed a dedicated 100 KV transformer.

After the meeting, MLA Kler took round of the entire Tehsil Complex and showed satisfaction with the construction work. He also directed the officers to make sure that the remaining beautification work is also completed on time so that appointment can be sought from Minister for New & Renewable Energy, Revenue and Information & Public Relations Bikram Singh Majithia for its inauguration.

S R Kler said that this newly constructed Tehsil Complex would be a gift by the Punjab government for the residents of Jagraon Town.
