Techno-Festival Day “VORTEX 2024” on Mar 20-21

Chandigarh, March 21, 2024: The Techno-Festival Day “VORTEX 2024” celebration commenced with a warm welcome of distinguished speakers. The President of Physics Association Dr. Manish Dev Sharma delved into the connection between Culture, Technology and Science, underlining the scientific legacy of Physics department that continues to inspire. Department organized the Jaggo night in earlier evening on Tuesday by touching the royal culture of Punjab and Haryana. 

“VORTEX 2024”started with morning running marathon, followed by the Cyclotrone, the Cycle rally, with huge participation from faculty, students.

Then the Keynote speaker, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Bali, Dean of University School of Sciences, Rayat Bahra University, Mohali delivered aninaugural talk on Career Opportunities in Sciences, at B. M. Anand auditorium, shedding light on breakthroughs in Sciences and strategies for preparing the young minds for latest competition in jobs of research & Sciences. The audience actively participated with over more than 20 queries in the Q&A session, seeking clarification on specific option in subjects, and area of research.

Proceeding to the other activities of Mock Test, Scientific Quiz, Science Rangoli and fun making completions like Dancing, Singing, Fashion Shows, Chess etc. Many students from Chandigarh, Panjab, Haryana and Himachal actively participated in different events and won many prizes.
At the end, Singing evening was organized with melodies by Professional Band Lost Radio. Students enjoyed the melodious evening.
