New Delhi, July 16 (IANS) A Tanzanian woman was arrested from the IGI airport here with 22.7 kg Pseudoephedrine, a banned drug, valued at Rs.18 lakh in the international market, the CISF said Wednesday.

Rashid Biwa Ramdhanni, 36, was arrested Tuesday night from the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport from where she was to board a 3.10 a.m. Wednesday flight for Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.

"A total of 68 wrapped packets, filled with Pseudoephedrine, were recovered from Ramdhanni's baggage checked after she was found acting suspiciously at gate number 3 of Terminal-3 at the IGI," said Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) spokesperson Hemendra Singh.

He said Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials were informed and they confirmed the recovered item as Pseudoephedrine drug.

Ramdhanni, arrested by the NCB officials, told her interrogators that she came to Delhi on a business visa April 30 last.
