SUNIL GAVASKAR PROMOTES PUNJAB GOVT'S STROKE MANAGEMENT INITIATIVE

Chandigarh, November 28, 2016: Former Cricket Captain of Indian Cricket, Mr Sunil Gavaskar here today joined hands with the initiative of Punjab Govt regarding free treatment of Stroke patients. He emphasized that early stroke management was key to recovery of such patients and can save mortality upto great extent. He addressed a gathering of senior doctors of Health Department Punjab and senior doctors of PGIMER, Chandigarh here today at Hotel JW Mariott, Chandigarh. Others present on the occasion were Ms Vini Mahajan, Principal Secretary, Health, Punjab, Dr Subhash Verma, Director PGI, Chandigarh, Dr Dheeraj Khurana, Prof Neurology, PGIMER, Dr Mahesh Neurologist CMC, Ludhiana.
