SUB-DIVISION LEVEL JOB FAIRS IN DISTRICT LUDHIANA FROM FEBRUARY 13 ONWARDS: DC

Ludhiana, February 22, 2019: A meeting regarding the upcoming Sub-Division level Job Fairs was organised at the District Bureau of Employment & Enterprises (DBEE), here today. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal and attended by ADC (Development) Dr Shena Aggarwal, ADC Jagraon-cum-CEO DBEE Ludhiana, all SDMs and senior District Administration officials.
A presentation regarding the Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojana portal (www.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in) was also given by Deputy CEO DBEE Mr Navdeep Singh.
Deputy Commissioner Mr Agrawal informed that under the Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojana, Sub-Division level Job Fairs would be organised in district Ludhiana from February 13 onwards, through which the district administration aims to provide employment to thousands of unemployed youth of the district.
Mr Agrawal informed that the first job fair would be organised at Government ITI, Gill Road, here, on February 13, another job fair at Swami Ganga Giri College, Gondwal near Raikot on February 16, and the same day, i.e. February 16, another Job Fair would be organised at Government ITI Girls in Samrala. On February 17, two Job Fairs would be organised at Government Senior Secondary School for Girls, Jagraon and at Government Senior Secondary School for Boys, Payal, while on February 22, two Job Fairs would be organised at Gulzar Group of Institutes Khanna and at Government Institute of Textile Chemistry and Knitting Technology, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana.
During today’s meeting, the Deputy Commissioner issued necessary directions to the concerned officials and urged them to ensure maximum number of youth attend these job fairs so that maximum jobs are provided to them. He said that the youth can get themselves registered for these job fairs through the portal, www.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in.
He informed that apart from Ludhiana based companies, representatives from other companies of the state would also participate during these job fairs.
