Students from Belgium’s Howest University visit CGC Landran for study trip
15 students and three faculty members from Howest University, Ephec and UCLL, Belgium visited Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran for a four-day study trip. The initiative was part of International Bus IT week organised by the department of Computer Science Engineering (CSE), CGC Landran and was aimed at enhancing students’ technical skills on IoT related concepts as well as helping them understand challenges pertaining to the same. The visit involved guest lectures by Mr. Siegfried Derdeyn, Mr. Bart Soete and Mr. Joachim Francois, faculty members from Howest University. In addition to interacting with the visiting delegation, students from CGC worked with their peers from Belgium on developing projects on technologies including PHP, Machine Learning, OOPS Concepts, Open CV, and Django. A total of seven projects were developed during their stay at CGC. These included an Open CV Smart Attendance System using Python and MATLAB, Blog website Using Django, Project Villa Using PHP, Report card Builder using Java and SQL, Mailer System using Servlets, Web API, JS, Jquery, E-transfer of Government Employees using HTML, CSS, JS, Jquery and PHP and MySQL, Live Emotion Recognition using Machine Learning On Convolution Neural network.
