State level programme on World Aids Day organized in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, December 1, 2016: On the occasion of “World Aids Day”, the district administration organised a State level programme in Ferozepur today. Punjab Cabinet Health Minister Surjit Kumar Jyani, who was the chief guest of the programme, said that people should change their viewpoint towards the patients who are suffering from AIDS. He said that all the people should keep in mind that the AIDS patients are also a part of the society. He said that the state government is trying to help the AIDS patients by providing the free of cost treatment. Jai Singh, Civil surgeon, Ferozepur, told the audience about the precautions which can be taken to avoid this deadly disease.

A cultural programme was also organized on this occasion. The Health Minister also honored those employees of the health department who did commendable work to help the AIDS patients.

On this occasion, Dr. Satinder Kaur, Deputy Director, STI, DP Chandan, Chairman, Planning Board, Harjit Singh, SDM, Ferozepur, Dr. U.S. Gill, Joint Director, Dr. Sukhwinder Singh, Joint Director, Dr. Tarunpal Sodhi, Dr. Pardeep Aggarwal, Ashwani Grover, President, Municipal Council, Jugraj Singh Katora, Chairman, Market Committee and others were also present.
