"Run Against Drug Addiction" being organised by State Bank of Patiala Ludhiana zone at Ludhiana on Sunday.
Ludhiana, November 15, 2015: State Bank of Patiala Ludhiana zone as part of their CSR activities, organised "Run Against Drug Addiction" in the city. With a view to create awareness among the general Masses against the increasing menace of drug and its ill effect, the Bank and its employees got together to showcase their support to eliminate this social evil which is badly impacting the young generation in Punjab.
People from all walks of society including students from different schools, sports academy, officers, employees of state bank of Patiala and their family members numbering around 1000 participated in the run. The mini Marathon was flagged off by Sh.Kuldeep Singh, ADC (General) Ludhiana at 7.30 am today from gate no. 4 of Guru Nanak Dev Stadium which ran through area covering Cemetary road, Civil Lines and back to the stadium with the active support from local traffic police.
The race was graced by legendary hockey player of 1984 Los Angeles Olymplics Sh. Hardeep Singh Grewal besides Sh. Babu Khan, DGM Ludhiana zone, Sh. Suresh Nair DGM commercial branch, Sh. S K Sharma AGM Region-1, Sh. Ashwani Grover AGM Region-2 Sh. Naresh Gaur, President All India Bank Employee Federation Punjab and Sh. Sandeep Bhardwaj, AGS of Associate Banks Officers Association Unit Patiala were the other prominent figures participated in the mini Marathon.
