Chandigarh, December 8, 2015: The Punjab Government has notified the reconstituted State Advisory Committee ofHigher Education& Languages, Water Supply & Sanitation Department. The new committee would advise in framing and executing policies of these departments for the Year 2015-16.
Disclosing this here today an Official Spokesperson said that Higher Education& Languages, Water Supply & Sanitation Minister Mr. Surjit Singh Rakhra would be the Chairman of the Committee. The spokesperson further said that committee would have three official members including Chief Parliamentary Secretary Higher Education& Languages, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Water Supply & Sanitation and Head of the concerned department. Besides this Principal Secretary Higher Education& Languages and Additional Chief Secretary Water Supply & Sanitation would also be member secretary of the committee.
He said that the committee would have 10 non-official members, five from the Shiromani Akali Dal including Mr. Surinder Singh Bhulewal Rathan, Bibi Jagir Kaur, Mrs Rajwinder Kaur, Mr Ranjit Sing Dhillon, Mr. Darshn Singh Shivalik, one from the Bhartiya Janta Party namely Mr. Ashwani Kumar Sharma, two from Congress namely Mr Raj Kumar, Mr Om Parkash Soni and one independent Mr.Rajnish Kumar.
