Jalandhar, June 20, 2015: Sports Trials for 43 games would be held in on in Lyallpur Khalsa College on June 23, 24, 25. This information was given by the college principal Dr.GS Samra on Friday who said that trials for Hockey, Athletics, Cross Country, Basketball, Netball, Badminton, Ball Badminton, Kho Kho, Power Lifting, Weight Lifting, Cycling Wrestling and Tug of War would be held on 23 June. Trials for Tennis, Chess, Handball, Softball, Baseball, Squash Racket, Volleyball, Gymnastics Swimming, Water Polo, Gymnastics, Archery, and Kabaddi (national and circle style) would be held on 24 June where as trials for Football, Boxing, Gatka, Fencing, Judo, Best Physique , Yoga ,Malkhambh , Shooting (rifle and pistol), Rowing, Yachting, Canoeing, and Taekwondo would take place on 25thJune. Dr. Samra also informed that the college had won the university sports championship 20 times and to promote sports it would continue to provide special facilities to its player students. The Head of the college Sports Department Dr. Jaspal Singh said that 10+2 passed students could appear in trials along with their original certificates.
