Sports Day In DIPS Gilzian

Jalandhar, November 3, 2016: Sports Day was organized at DIPS School Gilzian. Students of classes I-X participated in various games and showcased their competitive skills. All the children were full of excitement and enthusiasm to take part in it.This day was organized under the observation of Deputy Activity in-charge Ms.Jatinder Kaur and Principal Mrs.Rekha Nayyar.
Students of class i-V participated in boosting games like Book holding race, Lemon race , Needle Thread and Sack race etc in which they exhibited great sportsmanship spirit where as students of class VII- X took part in 100 m (U-14) , 100m (U-17), 200m (U-14), 200m(U-17) race , Long jump, High Jump, Discuss Throw etc meant for boys and girls in which they enthusiastically took part.
Students securing I, II position in each game were awarded with Gold and Silver Medals along with Certificates.
The winners were as follows-
Class I - Book Holding Race - Akashveer Singh , Manmeet Kaur , Harjot Singh
Class – II – Lemon Race – Simran , Jasmeet Kaur , Jasmeen Kaur
Class III – Needle Thread Race – Japjot singh , Ishmeet Kaur , Navjot Kaur
Class IV – Sack Race – Princepreet Singh, Palakpreet Kaur , Paramvir
Class V – Duck Walk – Sukhmanjeet Singh Tamanpreet singh , Jaspreet Kaur
Got First , Second and Third Positions.
Class VI- X
100m Race – Manpreet Singh (VIII), Mandeep Kaur (VII), Mandeep Singh (X) and Kiranpreet Kaur (IX) got First Positions .
200m Race – Bhupinder Kaur (VII) , Manpreet Singh (VIII), Rohan Kumar (IX) an dMandeep Kaur (VII) got First Positions .
Long Jump – Hargundeep Singh (VIII), Rohan Kumar (IX) and Mandeep Kaur (VII) got First Positions .
High Jump – Samanjot Kaur (IX) , Daljit Singh (IX) got First Positions .
Discuss Throw – Hargundeep Singh (VIII) , Gurleen Kaur (IX)
During this competition Ms.Kamaljit Kaur,Ms.Seema Goyal, Ms. Pooja Sharma, Ms.Sumandeep Kaur,Ms.Narinder Kaur, Ms. Rajveer Kaur, Ms.Mandeep Kaur , Ms.Parvez Sharma, Ms.Jatinder Kaur, Mr.Harpreet Singh, Mr.Jatinderpal Singh were present .
Principal Mam congratulated all the winners and gave them best wishes. She wished them luck for future as well.
Chairman of DIPS Institutions S. Gurbachan Singh also sent his best wishes to the students.
