Jalandhar, July 15, 2016: In order to aware and inform students under the community policing initiative of the Jalandhar Police Commissionerate, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP Hqrs) of Jalandhar, Ms Deepika Singh visited the campus of CT Public School and had a friendly interaction with the students of Class XI & XII. This session was held under the Help Your Cop Campaign.
ACP Singh impelled them to be ambassadors of the police department. She discussed various social issues and also counselled them on personality development and a flourishing career in the police department and defence services. ACP Singh invited the students to be the friends of Police in which they would be in direct contact with the police and could help them to eliminate the ugliness of the society by reporting to them any irregularity existing in the society pertaining to domestic violence, corruption, bribery and drugs.
ACP Singh said that with the time system has improved and for the betterment. Now youth is getting more opportunities and responsibility to serve the society.
The students had many queries pertaining to the working of the police department and all their reservations were dealt with, very positively.
Earlier, S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) and Mrs. Suman Rana (Principal, CT Public School) welcomed her for the special session. S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) expressed his gratitude towards Jalandhar Police Commissionerate for informing and creating awareness among their students about the Help You Cop Campaign. He said, “I am sure that more and more would come up as they are highly enthusiastic at the same time it is a wonderful concept of bringing police and public together. ACP Deepika Singh is doing a great job not only as a police official but also by informing and educating our youth towards societal services.”
