SKILLSVILLA 2015 - a series of competitions for Students at AIMTC

Jalandhar, August 14, 2015: Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus organised SKILSVILLA 2015 a series of competitions for the students on the eve of Independence Day. The event was organised by Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the institute and comprised  various competitions to give opportunities to the students to experience the excitement and aprrehensions of an entrepreneur. It also aimed at finding students' enterprising and communication skills. The following competitions were organised : Food Fest 2015,  One Minute To  Win IT. Two more competitions called Vocabulary Wizard and 'How Well You Know Your Nation?' were also organised.
In the Food Fest 2015, the students showcased their culinary art and came up with wonderful delicacies ranging from Gujrati cuisine to Spanish snacks, from mocktails to street food. The students were lauded for their sumptuous and delicious dishes. A total of 25 teams participated in the competition. 
In the Vocabulary Wizard competition, some riddles were asked to test the vocabulary of the students. The competition was won by . In 'How Well You Know Your Nation?', the students were asked interesting facts about our beloved country.
In the 'One Minute to Win It' competition there were many time-based and task- based games like  'Tie the Knot', 'Tongue Twisters', 'Maths with Matches' and many more. The Tongue Twister competition aimed at acquainting the students with concepts of intonation, correct pronunciation etc. 
The prizewinners were awarded Prizes and Cerificates of Appreciation for their commendable performance. The officials of Radio My FM were also present on the occasion. They also organised many fun games and a quiz to check how much the students know about our country. 
Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus congratulated the prize winners and all the participants for putting up a great show and also appreciated them for their remarkable participation zeal. He stated that there are various cells in the institute like EDC, Software Development Cell and The Literary Club to enhance all sorts of skills of the students and make them ready for the corporate sector.
