Chandigarh, October 14, 2016: Noted Journalist and Author Sir Mark Tully would interact with the Panjab University (PU) students and research scholars at the PU on October 17 at 10.30 AM.
The Department of History is organizing academic interaction in collaboration with AITIHASIKI (Department of History PU Alumni Association) at P L Anand Auditorium Arts Block II.
PU Vice Chancellor Prof Arun Kumar Grover would preside over the function. Apart from former Bureau Chief of BBC (New Delhi) Sir Mark Tully, the Producer BBC Radio Mr. Frank Sterling and noted journalist Ms. Gillian Wright would also be present on the occasion.
The interaction is being organized on the themes of ‘Partition and its impact on India today’; ‘Governance in India: How it can be improved’ and ‘Need for life style change if we are to cope with climate change’.
Chairperson of the History Department Prof Sukhmani Bal Riar informed that the visiting dignitaries would visit the history department in the morning 9:15 AM to 10:30 AM.
