G.S.S.S., Jandiala wins 4-Day Football Fiesta at CT Group of Institutions

Jalandhar, November 24, 2016: Government Senior Secondary School, Jandiala (Samrai) won the 4-Day Football Fiesta organised by CT Group of Institutions at the grounds of Shahpur Campus premises. The team registered their won over Doaba Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar with 3-2 points while the third place was secured Government Senior Secondary School (Co-Ed), Rurka Kalan.
The penalty shoot came out as the result of the match to break the tie from 2-2 to 3-2 points in favour of the winning team.
The four days tournament was kicked off in the presence of S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions), he advocated the importance of sports in our life to ensure healthy mind, body and soul at the same time encouraged them for the frequent participation in sports activities.
More than 13 teams across Punjab participated enthusiastically in the tournament viz Government Senior Secondary School, Jandiala (Samrai), CT Public School (CTPS), CT Polytechnic College (CTPC), Doaba Khalsa School, Laddowali Road, Government Senior Secondary School, Hazara, Government Senior Secondary School, Soffi Pind, ND Victor School, KV-3 and others.
On the other hand, Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) marked his presence on the concluding day. The winning as well as participating teams were awarded by the members of the management. All the teams showcased the perfect blend of sportsman spirit and enthusiasm at the grounds of Shahpur Campus.
Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) said that, “The tournament is organized with a motive to encourage the student’s interest towards different games. Football is a wonderful game that needs to be uplifted and liked by our youngsters. The participating teams have enjoyed playing this sport and we are sure they will continue doing so.”
