Shubhalakshmi Panse joins Allahabad Bank as CMD

Shubhalakshmi Pansehas joined on 1st October as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Allahabad Bank, one of the premier Nationalised Banks of the country.
Panse joined Bank of Maharastra as Probationary Officer. She became Executive Director of Vijaya Bank and was ED there for the last two years, responsible for the administration and Business development of the bank. Since the bank had only one Executive Director, she was managing all the portfolios of the bank till recently.
She has worked in almost all key segments of Banking, in various capacities. As General Manager, she has shouldered the responsibility of Recovery, Credit, Fund Management, Law, Accounts, Information and Technology, MIS, Business Process Re-engineering etc. She also worked as circle head of almost all parts of South India and served as Regional Manager in Karnataka.
An M.Sc. from Pune University, Panse got Diploma in Business Management and Masters in Management Science from Pune University. She has also done CAIIB and MBA from Drexel University, USA.  
She has undergone many trainings and courses at various prestigious institutes, like NIBM, ASCII, JNIDBI, MDI, BTC, European School of Management, London, UK and Paris, France, Bank of International Settlement, Basle, Switzerland and MEFTEC, Bahrain.
