Ludhiana, July 26, 2018: A senior Kidney Surgeon-Dr Ravi Angral (MS, FACS) has recently joined the institution. Dr Angral has got his professional expertise and training from PGIMER, Chandigarh, and has 16 years of vast experience in the field of renal transplantation. So far, Dr Angral has conducted around more than 1000 renal transplant surgeries.
Secretary DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta said that with the joining of Dr Ravi Angral as Transplant Surgeon in DMCH, Kidney Transplant Unit will be offering best available services to patients with chronic renal failure.
Dr Ravi is available for consultation in DMCH (Monday to Saturday) for kidney transplantation, follow-up (post transplant) and vascular access procedures. Dr Angral assured of enhancing the transplant services by joining DMCH.
Dr Vikas Makkar (Professor & Head of Nephrology) welcome Dr Angral and said that both the Departments of Neurology and Transplant Surgery will work together cordially and amicably for the welfare of the patients.
Dr Angral said that Department of Transplant Surgery in DMCH performs minimally invasive surgery for renal donors thereby minimising post-operative recovery time and hospitalization. The stringent infection control practices, proactive vigil for complications and their prompt management make the service a huge success.
