Senior advocate dies and son of a Judge injured seriously in road accident near Chahilan village

Samrala/Khanna, April 9, 2015: A Senior Advocate of Punjab and Haryana High Court was killed and a son of a Judge was injured seriously when their car suddenly collided with a tree on Ludhiana-Chandigarh road near village Chahilan. The deceased was identified as Parveen Kumar Nagpal (50) while the injured was identified as Puneet Kumar.

As per information, both Parveen Kumar Nagpal and Puneet Kumar were going in a Verna Car towards Chandigarh from Ludhiana along with their driver last night. When they reached near village Chahilan suddenly their car became out of control and collided head on with a road side tree. The accident was so fierce that Parveen Kumar Nagpal  died on the spot while Puneet Kumar was injured seriously who was rushed to Civil Hopital Samrala from where he was referred to PGI Chandigarh in a serious condition. The driver Amrit also received some injuries but was stated to be out of danger.

As per SHO Samrala Ashwani Kumar the body of the deceased was handed over to the family members after post mortem.
