Seminar on Personality Enrichment

Jalandhar, August 10, 2018: PG Department of Commerce and Management of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar organised a seminar on Personality enrichment. Resource Persons of the seminar were Dr.Nidhi Tak, (Associate Dean and Deputy Academic Co-ordinator at ICFAI Business School, Gurgaon), Ms. Heena Rajput (Senior Marketing officer) and Mr. Devesh Singh (Branch Manager, IBS). Dr.Nidhi Tak initiated the seminar by highlighting the concept of Personality Enrichment. She breifted the students with the emerging ideas and trends on how to develop their personality. The programmed also aimed to teach the student to work with various professionals, people and group to understand the meaning of work. She highlighted the points on body language, feedback, clarity of communication, right posture and right gestures. She also added the importance of networking and empathy to understand human psychology. She included the importance of upgradation of knowledge with the help of talks, twitter, ET, Google, Alerts, Quora, Menian Webst linked in. The students were given hands on experience with the help of activities relating to interpersonal skill. Overall the seminar was practically relevant and informative for the students as well as faculty. Head of Department of Commerce and Management, Mrs. Alka Sharma and other staff members also attended the same. Principal Dr. Kiran Arora appreciated the efforts of the department and encouraged the the student to follow the tips on the personality.
