Chandigarh, October 16, 2015: Second National Conference on Advanced Oxidation Process concluded today at Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh.
The conference discussed issues of “Green Chemistry”, “Application of Ultrasound”, “Nanotechnology”, “Photo Catalysis”, “Action of Activated Carbon” and their role in the present circumstances and future on the second day. The 2nd National Conference is being organized by Dr. SSB UICET. The conference concluded today with presentations by a number of scholars from all over the country.
PU Dean University Instructions(DUI) Prof. A.K. Bhandari was the Chief Guest at the valedictory session and awarded three posters. As many as 70 Young undergraduate and post graduate students made excellent poster presentations.
The sessions main focus was to develop low cost, green technologies. During the conference ten key invited lectures were presented by eminent scientist working in the area of AOP, followed by 47 oral presentations spread over 14 sessions.
The two day conference came to an end with a vote of thanks from UICET Chairperson Prof. Meenakshi Goyal.
Organizing Secretary Prof. A.P. Toor concluded the event by expressing her immense pleasure on successful completion of the national conference and congratulating Dr.S.S.B. U.I.C.E.T for successful organization of the event.
The event on the whole provided an opportunity for the exchange of new ideas in these fields and to share the most advanced knowledge from both academic and industrial world for a better future. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
