SCREENING FOR PARACHUTE REGIMENT & SPECIAL FORCES HELD AT DHOLEWAL MILITARY COMPLEX TODAY

Ludhiana, September 7, 2018: As a pioneer project, a screening test of already selected candidates of Headquarters Recruiting Zone (Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir), Jalandhar was carried out under the directions of Brigadier Jagdeep Dahiya and under the supervision of Col Vishal Dubey, Director Recruiting (Army Recruiting Office), Ludhiana at Dholewal Military Complex, here today.

A total of 105 candidates, who were selected during the recruitment rally in the Punjab and J&K Zone were met to undergo the screening as per the Special Forces parameters of which 15 candidates have been selected. This new experimental method is likely to motivate the youth of Punjab and J&K zone for joining the Parachute Regiment and Special Forces.

Similar screening test has been planned in various other Army Recruiting Offices of Punjab and J&K zone in particular and across the nation as a whole.

The Indian Army thanked Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Mr Pardeep Kumar Agrawal for providing necessary administrative and medical support for the smooth conduct of screening test.

Also the role of Director General, C-PYTE (Centre for Punjab Youth Training and Employment), in providing infrastructure and training for a duration of three weeks to the motivated volunteers at Hukumat Wala Camp, Ferozepur, has been widely appreciated by the Army as well as the candidates hailing from Punjab region.
