Dharamshala, October 10, 2017: The elections for the Himachal Assembly can be announced on any day now, and this time some fresh candidates are jumping in from different constituencies. After the announcement of the President of Gorkha Association of Himachal and Punjab Mr Ravinder Rana to fight elections from Dharamshala constituency on a ticket of any national political party or at his own, now another surprise entry noticed from Joginder Nagar (Mandi district), constituency. A Golwan Village of Joginder Nagar born industrialist of Saudi Arabia Mr Prem Parkash Rana has arrived to fight elections of Himachal Vidhan Sabha. Mr Prem too wants a ticket from any national political party or will go at its own in the poll arena. Mr Prem had gone to Saudi Arabia in 1985. Now, he is a multi millionaire businessman in the field of transport, construction etc there.
He said, "Around 700 Indians are working in my business; whereas 80 of them are from Himachal itself. I spent 7 to 10 percent of my profit in the development works in Joginder Nagar area.”
Taking to thos correspondent on phone he said, "I have done a lot in education, religion and communication and transportation sectors in the area, and 85 % of the voters are backing me. I can create a winning record for Himachal Pradesh on achievement of votes in Joginder Nagar.”
He further added that on becoming MLA of Joginder Nagar, I will work without salary or perks and spent my time only for the developmental works.
He said that he is in close contact with Congress and BJP, but can fight election as Independent too.
