Sakshi Foundation To Hold Cultural Function At PAU On May 9

Ludhiana, May 6, 2015: To promote Punjabi culture and heritage, Sakshi Foundation, a Mumbai based organisation, will be holding a grand cultural function at Punjab Agricultural University, here, on May 9 at 3 PM onward. The semi-finals of this function, Kultural Jhalak, were successfully organised at Ishmeet Music Academy and out of 27 participating schools, six schools were selected. These schools include Tagore Public School, BCM Senior Secondary School, E Christian School, Jain Public School, DVM Public School and UVM School.

Naina Mayekar from Sakshi Foundation informed that this function is being organised to climb the first ladder towards the effort to bring back our faded culture.

Naina Mayekar said that its sad that today';s youth has forgotten our rich culture and heritage and is getting inclined towards the western culture. She said that we all have to save our cultural legacy by promoting our own culture and heritage.

She said that with the motivation of Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal, Sakshi Foundation will be organising different functions for the promotion of our culture and heritage. She informed that one such function would be organised at Punjab Agricultural University on May 9.
