Jalandhar, December 5, 2015: Sahodaya Face Painting Competition was organized in the premises of DIPS Hariana under the guidance of S.Gurbachan Singh Chairman Chain of DIPS Institution and CEO Monica Mandotra. 14 schools participated in it. The theme of the Face Painting Competition was “Social Issues”. The dignatries of the event were Dr. Jasmeet Kaur Chief Advisor of Chain of DIPS Institution ,Dr. Ajit singh retired professor (Govt College Hoshiarpur), Dr. Jaspal Singh Professor Govt collage Fine Arts and professor Satnam Singh of Fine Arts Govt college .The students presented their views through the topics terrorism, gender inequality, cow protection, environmental pollution, dowry system, female foeticide .The judgement was given on behalf of the uniqueness of concept, creativity, neatness of design, and presentation. 1st prize was bagged by DIPS Tanda. 2nd prize was bagged by Kamla Nehru and DIPS Kapurthala and 3rd prize was given by DIPS Hariana and DIPS Suranassi and consolation prize was given to DIPS U.E 1. Dr. Jaspal Singh addressed the students. Vote of thanks was given by Principal Monica Sachdeva. She said that the motive behind this face painting competition was to sentitize the students towards the social issues and to prepare them to assume leading role in bringing about the change. The event concluded with National Anthem.
