Chandigarh, May 3, 2015: Advisor to Chief Minister on National Affairs and Media Harcharan Bains today categorically said that the entire of amount of ex-gratia relief and compensation to the tune of Rs 24 lakh to be given to the family of victim of Moga Bus tragedy would be borne by the concerned bus company.
However Bains clarified that the concerned bus company would deposit this amount in the account of District Red Cross, Moga which would in turn issue a cheque to the aggrieved family tomorrow. Meanwhile, the Punjab government has also decided to offer a government job to one of the family members of the victim in government, board or corporation. The Advisor to Chief Minister reiterated the firm commitment of the state government to protect the honor and dignity of Punjab’s daughters at every cost and guilty would be given the severe of the severest punishment under the law of land.
