Royal Mechanical Club of GKU celebrates its 10th Anniversary

Talwandi Sabo, November 8, 2014: Royal Mechanical Club (RMC) of Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo organised a fest containing techno-culture events on its 10th anniversary celebrations. Dr.Ashwani Sethi, Principal, Guru Goibnd Singh College of Engineering & Technology (a constituent college of GKU) told that this club was established in the year 2004 to promote the events & activities related to mechanical engineering.

In 10th anniversary celebration of RMC Satish Goswami, Registrar GKU appeared as chief guest whereas Dr. B.S. Dhaliwal, Dean Academics GKU graced the occasion as special guest.

Prof. Kewal Singh Khokhar, H.o.D. Mechanical told that in the technical part of this fest students presented the papers on recent trends in automobiles, technical innovations, hybrid air cars & on solar power appliances. In the paper presentation Ravi Ranjan, Abhishek Kumar & Parmanand Tyagi stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the technical quiz competition Kshtiz Garg, Manpreet Singh and Lovepreet Singh were declared winner, whereas in the open topic discussion Sandeep Singh, Parmanand Tyagi and Raju were the toppers.

Apart from the technical rounds students attracted the audience with cultural performances including songs & dances. Chief Guest Mr. Goswami stated in his address that we should try to be good human beings and we should not hurt anybody only then with God’s grace we can excel in every field of our lives.

Dr. N.S. Malhi, Vice Chancellor GKU appreciated the efforts of Principal Dr. Ashwani Sethi and coordinators Prof. Sandeep Singh & Prof. Jagseer Singh for brilliantly organising the function. Such technical fest definitely leads to increase the strong technical knowhow among the students, he added.

Sukhraj Singh Sidhu, Managing Director lauded the work done by organisers & congratulated everybody associated with RMC and said that such programmes are highly required to provide the best platform to the students and also motivate the non participants.
