Relief for cantonment area residents, claims MLA

Ferozepur, February 16, 2018: In a major relief for the residents of Ferozepur cantonment, Union Home ministry has issued the notification to allow the cantonment residents for renew of their lease deeds at any time. This information was given by Parminder Singh Pinki, MLA, Ferozepur (Urban) today. He said that it was the long pending demand of the people from the cantonment areas which was met after the great efforts. He said that being the representative of this assembly constituency, he had taken up the matter with the Union Home Ministry recently resulting in the issuance of notification.
He also said that as per the letter of the home ministry the people of the area are now eligible for renewable for their houses lease deeds by depositing very nominal fee. He also informed that a special committee has been constituted to redress the grievances of the residents of cantonment area.
Pinki also said that Congress party believes in development and social welfare and he would ensure the overall development of the area.
