To take it a step further, and raise the spirits of the young ones, the Microsoft has launched the event “Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship”, which is being at Dallas, Texas from August 9 to August 15.
In a press statement issued here today, the MDMs Shaloo Chopra from Sri Krishna Institute of IT and Management stated that the championship, entering its 14th year, will see countries from around the world host local competitions to determine country and regional representatives based on exam scores and completion times. The deadline for all qualifying exams is June 15, 2015. Selected finalists will then compete in the 2015 MOS World Championship held in Dallas, Texas, from August 9 to August 12, 2015.
She added that the top three winners in the MOS 2013 category will receive scholarship prizes for $7,500, $3,750 and $1,500; the top three winners in the MOS 2010 category will receive scholarship prizes for $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000, respectively.
To participate in the World Championship, students aged 13 to 22 must submit a passing score on the MOS Word 2013, Excel 2013, PowerPoint 2013, Word 2010, Excel 2010 or PowerPoint 2010 exams.
