RCED Organised Entrepreneurial Workshop at GGNIMT
Ludhiana, September 25, 2018: Two day Entrepreneurship awareness program organized by Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), Ghumar Mandi, Ludhiana in collaboration with RCED concluded here today. The event that intent to orchestrate Entrepreneurial Awareness Program to gravitate the students towards their dreams, witnessed an enormous participation by the students of MBA, B.Com and BBA. The session aimed at instilling entrepreneurial spirit amongst the youth. The event elucidated that the ideas are effective only if the implementation is powerful. The day one of the event was inaugurated by Dr. S. P Singh, Former VC, GNDU & Hony. General secretary, Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council (GKEC) along with other esteemed members of GKEC and dignitaries present on the occasion. Baljeet Kaur, Coordinator, RCED said, "We need to see why our youth is moving abroad and what challenges a person comes across when he is interested to start his own venture." "Entrepreneurship is all about driving your own growth and it walks with creativity only.", She exhorted. Ekjap Singh, Director, Big Ben Exports, Ludhiana, while talking about his family business recommended Problem forecasting and effective communication as important measures for effective execution of ideas. He suggested that roles and responsibilities must be assigned for accomplishment of common visions. Mr. MS Jaggi, Former District Manager of Lead Bank, discussed about variety of Banks and government financing schemes. He interacted with the students and acquainted them with innumerable Government policies such as PMMY, PMEGP, self help groups, subsidies and benefits. He made students aware about numerous documentation necessary for availing policies and schemes. Mr. Barinder Singh Nagi, Ministry of MSME, Department of GOI, explicated about assistance of Government for MSME projects and how prospective entrepreneurs can gain support in future. He informed the students about the denotation of micro, small, medium enterprises and the benefits available for Women entrepreneurs along with other reserve categories. Gaurav Sharma, an alumnus of GGNIMT shared his journey from Una to Canada. Students actively interacted throughout the session and put forth their queries for being an entrepreneur. Innumerable queries were taken with regard to conflict due to generation gap, success mantra for entrepreneurs in un-organized setup, etc. Dr Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT addressed the gathering and told them how fearing from fear is poor but 'Fear' is good for getting and moving onto the path of success. Prof. Manjit Singh Chabbra congratulated Team GGNIMT and members on the success of the event. He quoted ''Dreams can come true only with the courage to pursue them. and such interactive sessions guide our students to walk on the path of success''.
