Chandigarh, July 15, 2015: The Rayat Bahra Group of Institutes has decided to support the students who aspire to compete for IAS examinations in its campuses spread across Punjab, Haryana and Himachal states.
The Chairman of Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions, Gurvinder Singh Bahra announced this during event organized today to honor Abhijeet Kaplish, an ex-student of the group who secured 15th Rank in UPSC examinations for Indian Administrative Services (IAS) this year.
Chairman Bahra said that Abhijeet has brought pride to his Alma Mater and he shall act as role model for 30000 students of the group spread across three states. To honor Abhijeet’s achievement, the Rayat Bahra Group has decided to provide free coaching to any of its students who aspires to target the IAS or state administrative services tests. The selected students could also be provided free coaching from top teachers free of cost by the group, the Gurvinder Singh Bahra said.
He said that the group is already providing scholarships worth more than Rs 10 crores to needy students of the region. The group is giving complete fee waiver to orphan children and 50 percent fee waiver to children of single parent. Availing the benefit extended by the group large numbers of youth from poor families have achievement distinction in their respective fields.
Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman congratulated Abhijeet’s parents for inculcating moral values in their sons and mentioned the teachers who played a major role in helping Abhijeet in achieving success. Bahra said, “Abhijeet is an inspiration for all other students of our university and we hope more number of students follow his footsteps.” The Chairman also congratulated the faculty of the mechanical department of the Rayat Bahra University that motivated Abhijeet towards achieving the goal of IAS.
Vice-Chancellor of RBU Dr.SK Bansal, Joint Director Marketing, Admission & PR Sumit Bahl, Dean School of Engineering Dr. V Rihani and Joint Director Media Sanjeev Tejpal were also present on the occasion.
