Ravinder Meet Nominated as President of the Electronic Media Welfare Association, Chandigarh

Chandigarh: Ravinder Meet of Chandigarh was Nominated as the President of the Electronic Media Welfare Association. A general meeting of Association was held in the Press Club Chandigarh, in which the Nomination of various office bearers was done. The nominated office bearers includes Chairman Nitin Maheshwari, General Secretary Gurdeep Benipal, Senior Vice President Darshan Singh Khokhar and Secretary Sunny Sidhu, Vice President Deepak Sharma and Hardeep Virk, Treasurer Rajiv Taneja, Joint Secretary Vivek Rawat and Harpreet Jassowal. It was also decided in this meeting that all the members' cooperation will be on all fronts. After registration, committees will be formed for various tasks. All issues will be addressed by contacting concerned government officials and solving the problems of journalists. By passing the resolution in the meeting, consensus was made that association will raise voice for false cases made by the government against the journalists in different states , they also condemned wherever the Journalists were beaten by the police. With one voice all members agreed that its the duty of the government to ensure the protection and security of journalists. In the next phase, journalists of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Chandigarh and Northern states will also be members of the association.
