Ramgarhia Co-education High School Celebrates Its Golden Jubilee

Ludhiana, October 21, 2016: Ramgarhia Co-education High School, Partap Nagar, running under the tutelage of Ramgarhia Educational Council, celebrated its golden jubilee. In order to express gratitude to the Almighty for his immense grace, akhand path was performed at the school and on its bhog ceremony, Bhai Jodhveer Singh, Nankana Sahib Wale, rendered kirtan in his mellifluous voice. Students of the school also recited kirtan. On the occasion, distinguished personalities like S Manjeet Singh Ubhi, Director, MSSS Mechanical Ltd. and Chairman of REC; S Harcharan Singh Birson, Birson Industry and Vice-President of REC; S Gurmeet Singh Kular, Chairman, Ramgarhia Welfare Board and S Jagdev Singh Gohalwaria, Ex-councilor, were honoured with siropa. Meritorious students of the school were also felicitated. All the heads of the institutes being run under REC, namely, Dr Inderjit Kaur, Principal of Ramgarhia Girls College; Mr Ashok Tondon, Principal of Ramgarhia Sr. Sec. School for Boys; Mrs Kawaljit Kaur Kalsi, Principal of Ramgarhia Girls Sr. Sec. School; Mrs Balwinder Kaur, Principal of Ramgarhia Elementary School, marked their presence on the occasion. S Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, congratulated the prize winners and said: “Sant Baba Isher Singh ji, Nanaksar Wale, laid the foundation stone of the school and it was inaugurated by S Wassan Singh, KW Industries in 1966. Since then the school has been making consistent efforts to provide quality education to its students and promote their holistic growth.” While addressing the assemblage, S Jagtar Singh, General Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council, averred: “The occasion of golden jubilee serves as a reminder that we have come a long way. Our aim has always been to further the cause of education and provide the best of opportunities to our students. The school has many achievements to its credit and we will continue to make every possible effort to enable our students to become world citizen.” In her address, Mrs Hardeep Kaur, Headmistress of the school, said: “We are fortunate to have REC at the helm of affairs. Its members have always supported us in every venture and it is because of their guidance that we have been able to make our mark in the field of education. On the eve of its golden jubilee, I congratulate everyone associated with the school.”
