Ramesh Mago Elected As AIMBA President For 8th Time

Ludhiana: The 30th Annual General Meeting of the All India Bread Manufacturers Association (AIMBA) was held on 18th March, 2016 at Pragati Maidan, Delhi. The meeting was presided over by Mr.Ramesh Maggo,MD, Kitty Industries,Ludhiana, President and Mr.N.L.Mehta, Sr.GM, Hindustan Unilever Limited, New Delhi, Sr.Vice-President, Mr.Arvind Singhal, Vice President and Mrs.Kanchan Zutshi,Secretary.
Mr.Adil Hassan, M.D, Harvest Gold Delhi, Mr.Vipin Kataria, Business Head, Britannia Breads, Delhi and Mr.H.K.Batra, MD, Perfect Breads, Delhi, graced the occasion with their august presence and also addressed the Members. Led by Mr.Ramesh Maggo, they wished the very best in business to all the Members while hoping & opining that Sliced Bread Category in India is now poised for a new era of tectonic & exponential growth powered by innovations that would offer new product solutions to discerning & diversified needs of India’s huge young consumer base.
Mr.H.K.Batra, Immediate Past President conducted elections for 2016-17 and the following were unanimously elected as office bearers of the Association for the year 2015-16:

7) Mr. Dharam Veer rBhadauria, Shree Shakti Proteins , Gwalior –Central Zone Vice President.
Continuing the tradition since 2015, Life Time Achievement Award was conferred on Mr.Shanker LalT Ahuja, of Super Bakers, Ahmedabad, recognizing his pioneering efforts, adventurous spirit and visionary thinking which have contributed immensely to the growth of India’s Bread Industry especially in the Western Region.
Presentations were given by Mr.Chris Barfe, MD, Ibonhart,London, about Automatic Slicing cum Bagging Solutions specially adapted for Indian Sliced Bread market. Ibonhart has already commissioned two such machines in India while two other are in the process of being installed. Mr.RudolStratker, MD, Konig, Weldeck, Germany spoke about precision engineering based Makeup Plant solutions which can effect tremendous improvements in terms of saving time , enhancing productivity and reducing wastages, while referring to two successful lines already installed in Western India .Mr.Girish Matlani, MD, Sonic Biochem shared new Soya based ingredient developed by them which can lead to higher yields, for cost conscious Indian Bread Industry and Mr.Rohit P.Raut, GM, Rettenmaier India Pvt. Ltd shared details of neo class of Wheat & other cereal Fibers that can enrich the wholesome and healthy range of Indian Breads by increasing fiber content and improving product quality attributes. .
During last year AIBMA had actively taken up issues pertaining to the industry with FSSAI and provided valuable suggestions on draft regulations issued by FSSAI in order to safeguard industry’s interests. FSSAI had appreciated the inputs provided and acknowledged AIMBA’s contribution towards upgradation of related standards.
Led by Sh Ramesh Mago , President AIBMA had taken the largest ever delegation to visit IBA held at Munich, Germany, which enabled the members to gain exposure to the latest trends and developments in the Bakery industry.
All the Members present profusely thanked Mr.Ramesh Mago, for his dynamic, inspiring & visionary leadership and all office bearers, for their efforts & contributions.
