Railways girds up for the summer rush- DRM of Ferozepur Division

Ferozepur, May 11, 2015: Keeping in mind, the heavy rush at the Railway station during summer, the newly appointed DRM of Ferozepur Division Anuj Parkash has made some special arrangements. While addressing the media persons, he said that the Railways is committed for the security and safety of the people. “We have made special arrangements keeping in mind the heavy rush during the summer vacations, especially on the main station including Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Jammu Tawi, Katra, we are making consistent efforts to make people and staff aware”, said DRM Anuj Parkash.

“We feel there is dire need to construct such a plan where could clench the entry of unauthorized persons at the railway station. We are also working on ban on parking of vehicles in the circulating area” added the DRM.

“Besides we are keeping an eye on illegal wanders. We are also deputed special staff in civil dress to prevent any kind of corruption in the reservation of tickets. We have installed special CCTV cameras to control and prevent any kind of terrorist or criminal activity. A special CPDS (Crime Prevention and Detection Squad) team and special women squads have been also deputed”, said DRM.

The DRM said that “we want that everybody enjoys their holidays in true spirits.” He also urged people to be aware of “Anti-Social Elements”.
