PUTA during its Executive Council Meeting discussed issue of financial crisis of Panjab University

Chandigarh, November 25, 2016: Panjab University Teacher’s Association (PUTA) during its Executive Council Meeting held today i.e.November 25, 2016, discussed at length the issue of financial crisis of Panjab University and felt seriously concerned. It was unanimously resolved to constitute a core committee comprising present PUTA President Prof. (Dr.) Promila Pathak, Secretary Dr.M.C Sidhu and past 4 Presidents namely Prof.(Dr.) Akshaya Kumar, Prof.(Dr.) Rajat Sandhir, Prof.(Dr.) Devinder Singh and Prof. (Dr.) Mohammed Khalid who will meet shortly for further discussion on this matter. The same delegation was authorized by the Executive Council to meet the concerned officials of the MHRD and UGC at Delhi, and Punjab and UT Level at Chandigarh regarding the release of the pending
grants of PU. PUTA Executive Council has also decided to hold a General Body Meeting (GBM) on this issue, in the month of December.
