Jalandhar, November 30, 2017: To conduct research in Punjabi culture and folklore, Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar has established Punjabi Culture and Folklore Study Centre in the college. This information was given by Dr GS Samra, principal of the college , who said that Dr Harjinder Singh Sekhon of Punjabi department of the college was being appointed the director of the centre and the objective of the centre would be to conduct further Research in punjabi culture and folklore , and to ensure preservation and propagation of punjabi folklore. He also informed that Dr Sekhon had profound research experience in the concerned areas.

On this occasion, the head of the college Punjabi department Prof Gopal Singh Buttar congratulated Dr Harjinder Singh, Principal Dr Samra and president of College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur.
