Former Education Minister to Punjab Sukhjinder Singh.

Kapurthala, December 10, 2013: A public meeting will be held on December 20 at Village Ramgarh (Kapurthala), to commemorate the multifarious contribution made by Late Sukhjinder Singh, Former Education Minister to Punjab. Partap Singh Bajwa President, PPCC would preside over this function.
The Village Ramgarh is the native place of Sukhpal Singh Khaira, Official Spokesperson, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC). The event is being held to commemorate the contribution made by his father late Sukhjinder Singh, in various fields. This function would be attended by senior leaders of the party.
Needless to mention, Late Sukhjinder Singh was not only a stalwart leader in Punjab politics but a champion of the down trodden, human rights and value based politics. He contributed immensely to the field of education and sports. It is because of him that a rural constituency like Bholath can boast of a Government College and massive network of School Education. Sukhjinder Singh was also instrumental in providing employment in large numbers due to his farsightedness.
In order to hold the flag of Punjab high, Sukhjinder Singh sacrificed the prime of his life in various jails of the country, demanding justice for Punjab.
Besides remembering Sukhjinder Singh, the occasion would be used to discuss threadbare, the present political situation of Punjab. Current issues such as collapse of law and order, complete lawlessness and anarchy, spread of drug menace, imposition of cruel taxes on the people, spread of cancer, near collapse of education and health services and rampant corruption, will dominate the public rally.
Khaira in a press release appealed to the people to participate in the programme in large numbers. He stated, that he vows to follow the footsteps of his late father and remain a votary of clean politics, transparency and accountability. He added he would continue to serve the people of Bholath with the same zeal like his father, irrespective of the fact, whether he is an MLA or not. / punjab news live, punjab news online, punjab news, punjab news headlines, punjab breaking news, india news, punjab news
